Common Questions

How do I schedule an appointment?    Just call me at 1-818-309-7780.  If you don’t get through, please leave a message. This phone line is entirely confidential.  If I miss your call, I will call you back as soon as possible.

Do you take insurance?

I am on some insurance plans and accept all PPO Insurance Plans as a out-of-network provider.  My office will bill your insurance company for you.

What is the cost of therapy?

My standard fee is $150 a session.  A limited number of sliding scale appointments are available.  We will discuss and establish your weekly fee when we set your initial appointment.  Fees are due weekly at the time of service.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, we accept credit cards, cash and checks for therapy.

Do you prescribe medications?

I do not prescribe medications, but can offer a referral to a local psychiatrist if medications are needed.  If you are currently prescribed psychiatric medications, I would be happy to work with your current psychiatrist to assure a smooth continuum of care.  Just complete the attached Release of Information Form to allow me to speak with your doctor.

Do you see minors for therapy?

Yes, I see many children and teens for individual and group therapy; however, permission from the minor’s parents is required.  I generally request that parents be present in the first session.

How do I get to your office?

My office is located at 11239 Tampa Avenue, Suite 206, Porter Ranch, CA 91326.  My office is on the corner of Rinaldi & Tampa, across the street from Whole Foods Market. We are on the second floor. You can either take the elevator or stairs to our office.

Is your office accessible to people with handicaps?

Yes it is.

Is there anything I need to bring to the first appointment?

Prior to our first appointment please complete the Intake Packet that I email to you. Also, if you would like us to bill your insurance company, please bring a copy of your insurance card.  And, if you are currently prescribed medications for a psychiatric condition, or have recently been hospitalized, please complete a Release of Information for each of the involved professionals.
